Beauty With Greens

As I mentioned here, I will be posting on Spring. Yes, spring season is awakening, green, fresh, filled with changes to your surroundings, nature, and maybe even yourself.

We moved into our brand new house in September of 2010, and have not planted anything since! At first, construction was in our way, and then things got busy with pregnancy and baby. But this year I am determined to add some greenery all around.

Backyard:

1. Small garden with herbs, tomatoes, cukes, and zucchinis.
2. Lilac! I love it, the smell, the tiny small blossoms, everything is so delicate.
3. Annuals and perennials. Some flowers that are easy to grow and maintain - North side.
4. We want to save our planet and plant some small tree(s) - we already have a Crabapple tree in the front, so I want to add another one on the back. Eastern Redbud or Japanese Magnolia. More ideas are here.

Front:

1. Cute planter with bright flowers and varying greens in a large pot (beside the door).
2. Plant shrubs - something like Oakleaf Hydrangea.
3. Maybe even adding some natural stones and interlock.

What are your green beauty plans this spring or summer?
